About Shellamie


My name is Michelle Williams and I am the "Shell" of Shellamie Jewelry. Shellamie Jewelry is the collaboration of my love of making jewelry, and my sister Amy's (the "amie" of Shellamie) love of doing mind numbing computer stuff.

Every piece is run through the Williams' family testers. My husband takes it in his hands (slowly turning it over to check for structural soundness) before giving a nod of approval. My teenage son tears his eyes away from his video games long enough to give praise. If he is really impressed he does a sort of "doubletake" that is perhaps the most sincere form of flattery you can receive from a 14-year-old boy about anything jewelry related. Finally my 3-year-old daughter screams about wanting to see "the pretty" until I hold it up for her to see and she is able to render her verdict of "Ooooooh, that's so pretty!!"

Working on jewelry gives me a creative outlet that I sincerely enjoy and one that allows me to spend time with my family. I can't think of a more fulfilling way to spend my time than that!


Hi. My name is Amy Blair (as mentioned, the "amie"). I am Michelle's sister, and proud partner in this adventure of jewelry making.

Michelle has a very real talent for this wire-wrapping stuff. She tried to teach me, and after creating a rather disastrous pendant, I decided I'd leave that stuff to her. I'm still working on what I can contribute on the artistic front, but in the meantime I am the webmaster and maintainer of this website.

On a personal note, I am a mother of one (a 14-year-old boy), and currently pursuing a variety of creative projects.
