Gold & Turquoise Howlite Pendant

This pendant was sculpted using 14k gold filled wire and a 25x18mm howlite gemstone (dyed a turquoise color). With the gold setting it measures 45x20mm (25 mm= 1 inch.) As always all measurements are approximate and I include a picture of the pendant beside a quarter to give a better idea of the size.

Gold filled wire is NOT the same as gold plated as it has about 100 times more gold than plated does and is not subject to the same problems of flaking or chipping off that is experienced in the inferior plated wire.
