Gold (Rose and Yellow) & Silver, Drusy Ocean Jasper Pendant

This pendant is hand-sculpted with gold filled and sterling silver wire around an ocean jasper cabochon with a small drusy (druzy) pocket in the middle. Both rose (or red) gold and traditional yellow gold are used to create and interesting effect. The wraps (small bit at the bottom and around the bail) are argentium sterling silver.

The pendant is approximately 50mm x 22mm (25mm = 1 inch). As always all measurements are approximate and the picture of the pendant next to the quarter is to give a better idea of the size.

Gold filled wire is NOT the same as gold plated. There is about 100 times more gold in the filled wire than there is in plated. It is also bonded to the base metal with a process far superior to that of plated so it is not going to chip or flake off over time like the plated wire will.

Argentium sterling silver is a sterling silver that is tarnish resistant due to the infusion of mineral called germanium. Perfect if you are like me and love silver but could do without the constant upkeep. color:multi
